James Vice

James Robert Vice, age 78, passed away Wednesday April 14, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was a native of Maryland and long-time resident of Houma, La.

James is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia Canuteson Vice; children, Lori LeMoine and husband Calvin, Carey Vice and wife Beverly, Kimberly McBeth and husband Andrew, Courtney Freeman and husband Blake; grandchildren, Brent Chauvin, Krista Chauvin, Sarah Leroux, Parker Vice, Gabrielle Reid, Blaine Freeman, Seth Freeman; great-grandchildren, Elijah Reid, Emma Freeman. James is also survived by his faithful companion of 7 years, his poodle, MiMi. 

James is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Kathryn Vice; brother, Lloyd Vice.

The family will have a memorial service at a later date.

James was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed being outside doing yardwork, hunting and fishing. James looked forward every morning to hanging out with his friends at a local coffee shop. He worked thirty years in the banking industry for American Bank and Trust. James was a mason of the Walter I. Lanier Association as well as served in the Navy for six years.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
