James “Paul” English, age 60, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, April 26, 2021. James was a native of Mansfield and a longtime resident of Houma.
Relative and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation in Chapel Dauphine of Chauvin Funeral Home on Friday, April 30, 2021 beginning at 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The Celebration of Paul’s Life will begin at 7:00 p.m.
Paul is survived by his wife of 25 years, Judy Clouse English of Theriot; mother, Nancy Fletcher English of Houma; brother, John English and wife Susan of Gray; Michael English and wife Ursula of Bourg; niece, Denee’ English; nephew, Steven English and John English, Jr.; best friends, Colby and Consuela his “fighting buddy”; close friends that was like a brother, Mike Maronge and Gregory Champagne.
Paul is preceded in death by his father, James A. English, Sr.; paternal grandparents, John H. English and Mildred English; brother, James A. English, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Ray Fletcher; grandmother, Marie Fletcher; niece, Piper Angelle’ English.
Paul had a zest for life. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed family gatherings, but most of all adored his wife, Judy and his dog, Fancy. Anyone who knew Paul, knew he also enjoyed his recreational habits. He spent many years working as a welder. He enjoyed fishing and going to the casino with family and friends. Paul will be dearly missed especially his personality and quick wit. He was truly one of a kind and now has been reunited with those who passed before him and now rests in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
