Irving Yates

April 27, 1946 — June 9, 2021

Irving Raymond Yates, age 75, passed on June 9th, 2021. He was a native of Alexandria, Louisiana and a resident of Houma, Louisiana.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years Beckey Yates, his daughter Kelley "Bubba" Yates (Chad Stevens), sister Jane Ogden, and brother Alvin Yates (Arlene), as well as many nieces and nephews.

He served in the United States Navy, seeing action in Vietnam. He enjoyed fishing, old movies, live music, and a cold beer - and not neccesarily in that order.

A private celebration of life will be held by the immediate family Friday the 18th. In lieu of flowers or cards, the family asks donations be made to your local VFW for those veterans suffering from PTSD and other combat related mental health conditions.
