Idalena Miller

Idalena "Adeline" Simon Miller, 81, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024. Idalena was a native of Duson, LA and a resident of Houma, LA.

Adeline is survived by her loving family; sons, David Miller, Scotty Miller and wife Denise; daughter, Crystal Miller, and husband Butch; brothers, Andrew Simon and wife Lena, Raymond Simon and wife Karen; sisters, Jane Menard and late husband Presley, Alberta "Abby" Ghergich and late husband Steve; grandchildren, Shawn, Ryan, Laiken and Blake; Laura, Megan, Bella, Justin and Bailey; and ten loving great grandchildren.

Adeline was preceded in passing by her parents, Dallas and Mable Trahan Simon, sisters, Marie Laurent, and Debbie Martin.

Adeline was a loving mother, grandmother, friend, and neighbor. She was a strong, independent, and selfless woman. She was dedicated to her children and grandchildren who she loved very much. She will be greatly missed, but her memory will remain in our hearts. "Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate." Proverbs 31:31

The family would like to extend their appreciation and special thanks to Terrebonne Council on Aging for their continued support throughout the past few years and to her Ochsner Health oncology team, especially Laura Finn MD, Holly Nabb NP, and nurses Wanda and Nikki for their compassion and care during her last days.

In lieu of services the family wishes to have a private celebration of life and asks for prayers at this time.
