Huey Paul Vice

Huey P. Vice, lovingly known as "Budge", age 85, was called to his heavenly home on Saturday, January 18, 2025. He was a native of Dularge and resident of Houma, LA.

A proud Marine and a devoted man of faith, Huey served as a Eucharistic Minister and was deeply committed to his church community. He was a successful businessman and a wonderful provider for his family. His true passion lay in his creative pursuits, crafting stunning masterpieces he affectionately called "Vicreations", which included intricate woodworking and stained-glass art. Known for his heart of gold, Huey made it a priority to check in on family and friends, particularly those who were homebound. His kindness and generosity will be dearly missed by all who knew him. 

Huey is survived by his wife, Judith Thibodeaux Vice; his children, Brett Vice of Altadena, CA, Gregory Vice and Corey Vice of Dallas, TX, and Allison Vice of Houma, LA; grandchildren, Debb Dupre Pierce (James), Sunnie Dupre Mire (Brodi), and Luke Timothy Baudoin; great-grandchildren, Dani, Owen, Cole, and Carson; brothers, Robert Vice, Michael Vice; and sister, Mary Vice Youngblood.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Glenda Bueche Vice; his parents, Ivy Emile Vice and Lorena Zeringue Vice; brother, John Vice, and brother-in-law, Roy Youngblood.

Family and friends are invited to honor Huey's memory during visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., continuing Friday, January 31, 2025 at Annunziata Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at a later date.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Haydel Memorial Hospice and The Homestead Assisted Living for their love and compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Haydel Memorial Hospice in Huey's name. May his memory bring comfort to all who loved him.
