Helen Hendricks Bergeron, 81, passed away August 17, 2017at 6:00AM. She was a native of Rotan, TX and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held Monday, August 21, 2017 from 10:00AM until service time at First United Methodist Church in Houma, LA. Funeral Services will begin Monday at 11:00AM with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Gray, LA. Helen is survived by a sister, Clara Laurae Allen Headley of Great Falls, Montana, a stepson Jerome Bergeron (Karen) of Houma, LA, a nephew Neal B. Allen (Debbie) of Sacramento, CA, a great nephew Jessie N. Allen also of Sacramento and a great niece Jamie M. Allen of Kirkland, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents Sam H. And Anona (Smith) Neal, three husbands A.J. Simpson, Leonard Hendricks, and Charles Bergeron, and a stepson Charles Bergeron, Jr. Helen was a member of First United Methodist Church of Houma and belonged to the UMW there. She was a very talented lady and could "fix" nearly anything that was broken. She decoupaged, embroidered countless items, cross-stitched and sewed beautiful quilts by hand. She hand painted and decorated beautiful carousel horses. Helen ran eleven marathons and bicycled many miles in her lifetime. She loved working with her flowers and plants and became a Master Gardener later in life. She especially loved her two two little Jack Russel terriers Dixie and Pepper. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to FUMC of Houma, LA, or to your favorite charity. Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Bergeron family.
