Harry "Bobby" Board

Harry Robert Board (Bobby) passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 18, 2022. He was a native of Richmond, Virginia, spent his childhood in Christiansburg, Virginia, and was a longtime resident of Houma, Louisiana.

A memorial service will be held in the future, but not at this time.

Bobby Board, 77, has been appointed to a heavenly Ole Miss football coaching position with John Vaught.

He will be remembered fondly by Christine, his loving wife of 31 years, his son, Robb Board (Jill), his daughter, Sherry B. Ramey (Eddie), his adopted daughter, Erika Perry (Craig), and his stepson Bob Goetz (Nikki). He will continue to watch over his championship rings, his grandchildren Karen and Abby Board, Riley, Addison, Devin and Nolan Perry, Greyson, Matthew and Claire Goetz. He is also survived by a sister, Barbara Board Laughon, a first cousin, Evans (Buddy) King, along with nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father, Harry Raymond Board, his mother, Mary Alma Weaver Board, and his brother, Joseph W. Board (Martha).

Bobby graduated from Ole Miss in 1968 and continued to be an avid fan. He worked for NASCAR in public relations and also worked in the insurance industry. He taught school in Jacksonville, Florida, was a car salesman, and his last job was teaching in Houma, Louisiana.

He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his wife and furry children. He will be missed by many who knew and loved him.
