Harris King

Harris Joseph King 88, a native and resident of Houma, LA passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018.

Family and friends of the family are invited to attend visitation on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 9:00AM until service time. A Liturgy of the Word will begin at Chauvin Funeral Home at 11:00AM and burial will follow in Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery in Houma, LA.

Harris is survived by his children, Nancy Bardelenben and husband Keith, Judy King and boyfriend Kerry Parfait, Tommy King and wife Rhonda; sister, Mary Jane Bergeron; grandchildren, Melissa Cangelosi, John Jr. Cangelosi, Tyler Ingram, Shane Bardelenben, and Paul Bardelenben, and Janelle McElroy; and eleven great grandchildren.

Harris is preceded in death by his wife, Della Detiveaux King; his parents, Hollins and Georgia Babin King; son, Mike King; brother, Julius King.
Harris was a kindhearted, good, hardworking man with a heart of gold. He often would help anybody who needed it. He enjoyed fishing and going to the casino with family and friends. Harris also enjoyed sitting and drinking coffee and sharing memories with his family.

His memory will live on in all who knew him. He will never be forgotten; but forever loved.
