Gwen Champagne

Gwen Chauvin Champagne, 71, passed away surrounded by her loving husband and family on Friday, June 18, 2021 at 9:59AM. Gwen was a native of Houma, LA and resident of Bayou Dularge, LA. 

Family and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 from 10:00AM to 12:00 Noon time at St. Eloi Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow visitation at 12:00 Noon.  Burial will follow Mass in St. Eloi Church Cemetery.

Gwen is survived by her loving husband of fifty-two years, Irvin Joseph Champagne; children, Todd Champagne and wife Erica Champagne, Jenna Morris and husband Corey Morris, Heidi Goodwin and husband Chris Goodwin, Tedd Champagne and wife Tonya Champagne; father, Ernest Chauvin III; grandchildren, Kristin Champagne, Whitney Walker, Skyler Morris, Mason Morris, Carter Goodwin, Evan Champagne, Avery Champagne; great grand-daughter, Everlynn Pinell; siblings, June Lusk, Ernest “Sonny” IV Chauvin; Mike Chauvin, Paul Chauvin, Dave Chauvin, Tess Dennie, Jeff Chauvin, Mark Chauvin, Randy Chauvin.

Gwen is preceded in death by her mother, Lola Reid Chauvin.

Gwen was an active member of the St. Eloi community. She served her church on the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, and the Sew So Good Quilters at the Dularge Library.   Gwen also enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, traveling, puzzle building, and making arts and crafts.

Gwen will be greatly missed by her family and friends; never forgotten, and always remembered and loved.
