Grace D. Terrebonne, age 65, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in New Orleans and a longtime resident of Bayou Blue. “I fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith” 2nd Timothy
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home in the Magnolia Chapel on Monday, January 22, 2018 beginning at 5:00 p.m. until the Liturgy of the Word at 8:00 p.m. Graveside service will be announced at a later date.
Grace is survived by her husband of 45 years, Perry Terrebonne; son, Todd (Ranie) Terrebonne, daughter, Chantelle Terrebonne; grandpuppy Bugsy; great-grandchild in love, Zaedan Dion; siblings, Larry (Ruby) Daigle, Elphege “Big John” (Bonnie) Daigle, Alvy Thibodaux, Peggy Bourg (Russell), Theresa Lirette (Kenneth), Wilbert Daigle (Christine); goddaughter, Francine Hood; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Grace is preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert and Velma Samanie Daigle; daughter, Rebekah Rae Terrebonne; daughter-in-law, Dawn Terrebonne; sister, Dolores Thibodaux; nephews, Alvy “Bubba” Thibodaux, Jr., John Nolan Daigle; and grandpuppy, Sugah.
Grace was beautiful, caring, loving, outgoing, kind, and exemplified her name, she was a very graceful lady. She married her love in 1972 and began a beautiful journey. They had two children that she loved and adored. She loved to crochet and blessed many people with her talents. Grace also worked for the local cable company in Houma for 28 years. She will be missed by many and now rest in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
The family would like to thank the staff of Mary Bird Perkins, South La Hospice, especially Kacie Gautreaux, Dr. Don Schwab for the special care and compassion he showed.
