Gordon Joseph Guidry, Sr.

Gordon Joseph Guidry, Sr., age 85, passed away Wednesday September 25, 2024. He was a native and resident of Houma, la. 

A graveside service will be held on Friday September 27, 2024 at Holy Rosary Cemetery at 12:00 PM.

Gordon is survived by his loving wife, Darlene Authement Guidry; children, Kandy Verdin (Tillis), Earl Dupre, Sr., Brenda Fitch, Tina Collins (Rusty), Gordon Guidry, Jr. (Shawn); grandchildren, Jacie Verdin, Ezra Verdin, Joah Verdin, Earl Dupre, Jr. (Jessica), Kristy Hebert (Chad), William Shrader, Chelsey Theriot (Ty), Joshua Pellegrin (Kayshia), Ashley Collins, Kelsie Breaux, Kenner Breaux III, Katelyn Roddy; brother, Lawrence J. Guidry.

Gordon is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Joseph Guidry and Virginia Comeaux Guidry; grandchild, Jennie Dupre; brothers, Freddie J. Guidry, Thaddeus J. Guidry, Villere J. Guidry, Aaron Robert Guidry, Wallace J. Guidry, Walton J. Guidry, Sr., Douglas J. Guidry, Sr. 

Gordon was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed playing his guitar for the residents at the nursing home. Above all he loved spending time with his family and going to church. He will be dearly missed all who knew and loved him.
