Gloria Chaisson
February 12, 1931 — March 6, 2018
Gloria Chaisson, age 87, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, March 6, 2018. She was a longtime resident of Houma.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church on Saturday, March 10, 2018 beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery.
Gloria is survived by her son, Julius Chaisson and wife Gail; daughters, Linda Foret and husband Ronnie, Penny Smith and husband David, Wendy Boudoin and husband Ray, seventeen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Rita Landry.
Gloria is preceded in death by her husband of thirty-six years, Francis A. Chaisson; parents, Joseph, and Harriet Lirette Cotton; son, Francis Chaisson, Jr.; brothers, Norris Cotton, Sr., Horace Cotton, and Louis Cotton.
Gloria was a loving, kind, caring, woman and she adored her family. Gloria loved tending to her vegetable garden, and cooking and cleaning. Gloria was a spiritual woman, in which she recited the Rosary three time a day. She is now reunited with her family in Heaven and rests in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
