Geralyn Simon

Geralyn Marie Simon, age 37 passed away at home on Sunday, June 18, 2017. She was a lifelong resident of Houma. Geralyn was a beautiful woman who served her Lord and now rests in his arms. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Chauvin Funeral Home in the Magnolia Chapel beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday, June 26, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. until the Liturgy of the Word at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Geralyn is survived by her parents, Gerald and Sandra Simon; children, Alexis, Kendra, Kelsey Simon, and Janae’ Billiot; brother, Sean Simon and wife Joni; maternal grandmother, Mildred Verdin; paternal grandmother, Eva Boudoin; niece, Jaida Simon and nephew, Payton Simon; uncles, Tillis Verdin and Faren Verdin, Gary Simon, Brian Simon, Dave Parfait; aunts, Emily Verdin, Fran Simon, Melanie Verdin, Kandy Verdin, Karen Billiot, Donna Verdin, Kathy Verdin, Amanda Parfait. Geralyn is also survived by her Godparents, Josephine Creppel, Sonia Billiot, Gary Simon, and a host of loving cousins and friends. Geralyn is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Wilbert Verdin; paternal grandfather, Dave Parfait; paternal great-grandmother, Noreen Billiot; paternal great-great grandpa, Dennis Creppel, and good friend, Hank Verdin. Geralyn was a loving, kind-hearted person, who loved and served her Lord. She adored her children and her brother. She was a wonderful mom to everyone with a big heart and a fabulous cook. She enjoyed bible studies with her friends and prayed for everyone. Geralyn grew her Angel wings and now looks down on her family with love. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
