Geraldine "Dinnie" Authement

Geraldine "Dinnie" Theriot Authement, age 85, passed away peacefully in her sleep, Tuesday July 2, 2024. She was a native of Houma, La and resident of Pattison, MS.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home Tuesday July 9, 2024 from 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery #2. 

Dinnie is survived by her children, Randall J. Authement (Connie), James P. Authement (Sharlane), Darlene M. Authement (Chris), Bonnie A. Authement (Duane Pierce, Sr. and Ted Starnes); brother, Mark John Theriot (Rose); grandchildren, Karla, Jessica, Kristen, Justin, Keith, Brandi, James "Max" Jr., Jade, Sarah, Christopher "Corey", Raimen, Travis, Feather, Gena (Tetron), Everette "DJ" Jr.; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; God-children, Dawn Theriot Naquin, Mark Hebert, Brian Authement, Jeffery "Frunkis" Authement; nephew, David; great-niece, Sophie; great-nephew, Dylan.

Dinnie is preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred "Gene" Authement; lifelong companion, Richard Barrilleaux; parents, Johnny and Elviere Theriot; sister, Laura Jean Theriot; grandchildren, Kevin Randall Authement, Joshua Paul Burnley. 

Dinnie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family. Dinnie also enjoyed dancing, painting, doing crossword puzzles, playing the poker machine and cooking for her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
