Gayle Boquet

Gayle Ann Mary Boudreaux Boquet, 71, passed away surrounded by her family Sunday morning, December 13, 2020.  Gayle was a native of and resident of Bayou Blue, LA.

Family and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, December 18, 2020 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm and Saturday, December 19, 2020 from 8:00am until 10:00am at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma, LA.  A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at St. Louis Catholic Church in Bayou Blue, LA for 11:00am.  Burial will follow Mass in St. Ann Catholic Church Cemetery in Bourg, LA.

Gayle is survived by her sons, Cyril J. Boquet, Jr. and wife, Claudine, Allan P. Boquet and wife, Samantha, Jason P. Boquet and wife, Sandy, and Craig J. Boquet, Sr. and wife, Robin; brother, Mark J. Boudreaux; sister, Roxie M. Thompson and husband, Nathan; and nine beloved grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Gayle is preceded in death by her husband of thirty-one years, Cyril John Boquet, Sr.; parents, Joseph Charles Boudreaux, Sr. and Hazel Mary Jane Rogers Boudreaux; brother, Joseph C. Boudreaux, Jr. and wife, Barbara; sister-in-law, Barbara Ann Boudreaux.

Gayle loved to spend time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She enjoyed watching sports on TV; most especially Saints football, all sports LSU, and the Pelicans basketball.  Gayle was a member of TOPS for many years. In her leisure time Gayle enjoyed completing crossword puzzles.

Gayle was dedicated to her Catholic Faith and was a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew her and always loved and never forgotten.
