Gail Russell Feltman

Gail Russell Feltman, age 78, passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021. He was a native of Kentwood and a resident of Houma, LA.

Gail is survived by his wife of 39 years, Constance "Connie Sue” Hughes Feltman; son, John Feltman and wife, Carrie; daughter, Jackie Alexander and husband, James; bonus children, Jonna Dronette and husband, David, Richard "Eric" Dabbs and wife, Stephanie, and John Dabbs; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Kris Feltman.

Gail was preceded in death by his parents, Buster and Nellie Mae Brown Feltman; son, Gail D. Feltman; brother, William “Red” Feltman; and sister, Betty Faye Smith; nephew, James “Mike” Feltman.

Gail was born and raised in Kentwood, LA. He joined the US Navy at age 17 and obtained the rank of boiler maker.  He was stationed in San Diego CA and returned after 4 years with an honorable discharge. Gail was a gifted musician.  He played guitar and sang country music, most recently with the band Bandit. He enjoyed doing woodwork. He retired from Coca Cola, and he was most recently employed with Ryder Logistics in Kenner LA. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  Gail never met a stranger, and everyone loved him. He will be dearly missed by all whose hearts he touched. In lieu of flower donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
