Frances "Tuttie" Marie Liner

Frances "Tuttie" Marie DeHart Liner, 90, a lifelong resident of Theriot, LA passed away peacefully on January 7, 2023.

A visitation will be held in her honor Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home. Visitation will resume Friday, January 13, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until a Liturgy of the Word at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Eloi Cemetery.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Dugas (Buddy); sons, Kurnest “Snookie” Guidry, Jr. (Pat), Clinton Liner (Merrill); Randy Liner (Mary), Ralph Liner (Stacy), and Kevin Liner (Shannon); grandchildren, Lori Hebert (Chad), Ashley Guidry, Lea Guidry (Todd), Clinton Liner, Jr. (Shauna), Randy Liner, Jr. (Ashley), Brandon Liner, Maranda Liner, Scottie Liner (Carley), Preston Dugas (Jared), Helen Dugas (Kaleb), Drake Liner, Dalanie Liner, Blake Liner (Casey), Shawna Pellegrin (Lance), and Shealyn Liner (Jared); 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Ivy Shine Liner; parents, Sanders and Bridget DeHart; son, Martin “Kat” Guidry; brothers, Ernest DeHart, Herbert DeHart, and Virgis DeHart; sisters, Leola Lirette, Enola Lirette, and Ester Lovell; and her first husband, Kurnest Guidry, Sr.

Frances was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and St. Eloi Alter Society. She loved going to the casino, daily trips to buy scratch offs,  playing bingo, and playing cards with her family and friends. When she wasn’t gambling, she was caring for the house and always baking fresh bread or cooking her family a meal. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
