Evelyn "Louise" Walker

Evelyn “Louise” Brown Walker, age 79, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, May 4, 2021. She was a native of Mena, AR and a resident of Houma, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. on Saturday, May 8, 2021 beginning at 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ann Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. with burial following in church cemetery.

Louise is survived by her daughters, Dr. Anne Walker Bares and husband, Dr. George "Jude" Bares, Joan Ellen Walker, and Jill Carrie Walker Chiasson and husband, Daniel Paul Chiasson; sister, Alice Mae Brown Pearson and husband, Thomas Edward Pearson Sr.; grandchildren, Megan Dillon Lilley and wife, Katie Lilley, Madison Theresa Weir, Isabella Anne Bares, Alexander Christian Bares, Walker Jude Bares, Brianne Elise Chiasson, and Owen Paul Chiasson.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Homer Anthony Sr. and Trueheart Bertha Leatherwood Brown; former husband, Dr. Herman Ernest Walker, Jr.; brothers, Homer A. Brown Jr. and wife, Patsy, and Henry "Orville" Brown and wife, Inez.

Louise attended a nursing program at North Western State University of Louisiana. She was a member of numerous clubs and organizations. She will be dearly missed by all whose hearts she touched.
