Eural Jene “Monroe” Domangue, age 78, a native and resident of Chauvin, passed away on January 20, 2021 of complications due to Parkinsons Disease.
Family and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 9:00am until 11:00am. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin, LA for 12:00pm. Burial will follow services in St. Joseph’s Church Cemetery.
Eural is survived by his loving devoted companion and wife of 30 years Alberta Price Domangue. His children, Debra Lirette (Delson Lima), Kim Domangue, Euralee Boquet (Francis II), Alice Broyles (Nick), Crystal Pitre (Tommy), Chucky Farkas Sr. (Kerry Otis), Amy and Misty Farkas, Mike Ezell; grandchildren, Blake Picou, Francis III and Grant Boquet, Erica and Grace Kelly, Brook Guidry (Janson), Cameron “River” Dumont, Amelia Pitre, Ralph Lirette Jr. (Rachel), Chris and Daisey Lirette, Courtney Voisin, Jade and Chucky (C.J.) Farkas Jr.; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Jacob Lirette, Mila Picou, Branson and Baelynn Thibodeaux, and Tayen Billiot; siblings, Aswell (Marie) Domangue, Mark (Lynn) Donangue, Ranzell (Donna) Domangue, sister-in-law, Lois Domangue.
Eural is preceded in death by his mother, Alice Lapeyrouse Domangue, father, Shaffer Domangue Sr.; step-mother, Wilma Domangue; siblings, Rene (Nolan) Blanchard, Ewade (Lois) Domangue, Irey (Viley) Domangue, Shaffer (S.J.) Domangue Jr., and his furry best friends, Hoss, Suzie, and Duke.
Eural served as past president of the Chauvin Lions Club and member of the Petit Caillou Carnival Club for 27 years. For the majority of his life Eural provided for his family as a commercial fisherman. He was a man of many talents for someone with only a 5th grade education. Eural was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle (with many nephews and nieces who loved him dearly), and friend. He enjoyed Mardi Gras, traveling, dancing, gardening, fishing, hunting and watching his Saints and LSU football. He will be dearly missed by those who really knew him. A very special thank you to his devoted friends Donald “Dono” Authement and Wayne Dupre who were there when he needed them.
