Esther Crochet

Esther Rose Crochet, 82, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 12:30am.  Esther was a native and resident of Bayou Dularge, LA.

Family and friends of the family are invited to attend visitation on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 4:00pm until 9:00pm with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00pm by the Knights of Columbus, and visitation to continue Monday, January 25, 2021 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 9:00am until 11:00am.  A Mass of Christian Burial will begin on Monday, January 25, 2021 at St. Eloi Catholic Church in Theriot, LA at 11:30am with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Esther is survived by her loving husband of fifty-three years, Junius Crochet; children, Sophia Domangue and husband Kim M., Michael Maronge, Rochelle Liner and husband Quint; fourteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; siblings, Vivian Theriot and  husband Herbert Theriot and Wilbert “Buddy” Champagne. 

Esther is preceded in death by her parents, Romain and Therese Rose Theriot Champagne; siblings, Eula Mae Grabert, Hazel Neusslein.

Esther was a member of St. Eloi Church and held many positions and ministries in the church. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary St. Eloi Knights of Columbus. She was a member of the Society of Mary.

Esther was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who was dedicated to her family.

She had a passion for sewing, quilting and loved to travel.

Due to COVID 19 restrictions,  face masks are mandatory and social distancing should be practiced.
