Ernest Joseph Martin

Ernest Joseph Martin, 86, father to three children and his loving wife; passed away on April 4, 2022 at 3:56pm. Ernest was born on April 18, 1935 in Raceland LA. He was a Veteran of the Korean and Vietnam War. He was married to Lucy Bell Revia for sixty-four and ½ years. He is survived by his wife Lucy Bell; son, Robert Lee Colston (Alma); daughter, Wanda Dufrene (Marshall), daughter, Jewel Cullison (James); grandchildren, Tamera Billiot (Ivy), Carrie Latimer (Steve), Becky Colston-Winzenried (David), Lisa Latimer Kocourek(John), Theresa Colston; great-grandchildren, Raven Dempster (Jordon) , Nicholas Robertson, Chloe Kocourek, Ian Kocourek, Brooke (Ellie) Burnett and great-great grandson, Aidyn Conerly. Ernest is survived by his brothers, Charlie Martin (Diane), Bobby Martin (Ena), Nolan Martin (Mary), and several nieces and nephews. Ernest is preceded in death by his father, Hypolite Martin, and mother Lydia Martin; three sisters, Doris, Gladys, and Rose Martin; brothers, Anthony, and Larry Martin. Ernest was a Veteran of the United States Military and was part of the American Legion in Raceland and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Memorial Services will be held at his home on Saturday, April 30, 2022 beginning at 2:00PM.
