Ermaline “Erma” W. Benoit, 95, a native of Ellis, Kansas and resident of Houma, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at 4:29AM.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at St. Eloi Catholic Church in Theriot, LA beginning at 9:00AM with Mass of Christian Burial at Noon. Interment will follow in St. Eloi Mausoleum.
Ermaline is survived by her sons, David Benoit and wife Janice, Richard Benoit and wife Debi, Thomas Benoit and wife Debbie, Jimmy Benoit and companion Amy, Pete Benoit and wife Denise, Joey Benoit and wife Patricia; daughters, Yvonne B. Breaux, and Mary Benoit and companion Kenny Westerman; brother, Raymond Wasinger; sister, Liz McCoy; twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-eight Great Grandchildren, and one Great-Great Grandchild.
Ermaline is preceded in death by her husband, Wilson J. Benoit of sixty-three years; parents, Nicholas and Mary B. Wasinger; son, Steve Benoit; son-in-law, Nelson Breaux; brother, Lloyd and Marvin Wasinger; Granddaughter, Erin Callahan; sister, Iva Weil.
Ermaline was a homemaker who loved to crochet, bowl, play cards, cook, and spending time with her family and friends.
A special thank you to her wonderful caretaker and Haydel Hospice along with Dr. Andre’ Guidry and Dr. William Kinnard.
She was a parishioner of St. Eloi Catholic Church in Theriot, LA.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Eloi Catholic Church is preferred.
