Elyrea Bonvillain

Elyrea Bourg Bonvillain, age 80, passed away Sunday November 20, 2022. She was a native of Bourg and longtime resident of Houma.

Relatives and friends  of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home Saturday, November 26, 2022 from 8:30 AM until 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Elyrea is survived by her children, Denise Bonvillain Esponge (Norris, Jr.), Blaine Bonvillain (Robin), Sheila Vincent Englade (Dennis); grandchildren, Cody Duplantis, Derek Duplantis, Hayley Bonvillain, Jared Duplantis, Hilary Bonvillain Hardy, Norris Esponge, III, Harleigh Duplantis; great-grandchildren, Alisa Robichaux, Kaleb Barient-Duplantis, Dawson Duplantis, Dayton Duplantis, Jailynn Duplantis, Jax Esponge, Myles Hardy, Adaline Esponge, Khloe Duplantis.

Elyrea is preceded in death by her husband, Barry P. Bonvillain; parents, Cleveland Bourg and Pauline Naquin; brother, Irving Bourg; sister, Elaine Bourg Burnett.

Elyrea was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a die-hard sports fan and enjoyed puzzle making, Bingo and spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
