Elsie Valure

Elsie Marie Neal Valure, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Terrebonne General Medical Center. She was a native of Pointe-Aux-Chene and a resident of Houma. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation in Chapel Dauphine on Friday, July 20, 2018 beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary on Saturday, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Elsie is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Hugh Paul “H.P.” Valure; son, Wesley Valure; daughters, Carla Valure Endsley and husband Dale Endsley, and Sally Valure; grandchildren, Wesley Valure, Jr., Tanya Valure, Shepard, and Tristan Theriot; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Carlton Neal; step-brothers, Cecil, Wendell, and Lawerence Neal, Jr.; step-sisters, Julia Ledet, and Irene Henry. Elsie is also survived by her step-mother, Marjorie Neal.

Elsie is preceded in death by her father, Lawerence Neal, and mother, Lena Neal; paternal grandparents, Johnny, and Julie Rodrigue Neal; maternal grandparents, Camille, and Lorena Brunet; brother, Allen Neal and step-brother, Arthur Neal.

Elsie was a loving wife and mother. She adored her family and enjoyed family gatherings. Elsie was a beautiful woman who was funny, loving, and caring. She had a great personality and sense of humor. She was also very strong willed and a hard worker. Elsie leaves her family behind and has transitioned to the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
