Edmond Joseph Cormier, age 91, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, January 28, 2021. He was a native of Church Point and a resident of Houma. 2nd Timothy, I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation in Chapel Dauphine of Chauvin Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 beginning at 9:00 a.m. until his Celebration of Life Service at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Grace Memorial Cemetery.
Edmond is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Cormier; sons, Mark Anthony Cormier, Joe Cormier and wife Christine; eleven grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; siblings, Verna Lynn Smith, E.J. Cormier, Bobby Cormier, Mable Leloux, and Odile Fontenot.
Edmond is preceded in death by his 1st wife, Beatrice Mae Cormier, 2nd wife, Leona Cormier; daughters; Judy Lewis, Cathy Verdin, and Connie Hebert; parents, Raymond and Odile Cormier; siblings, Ruby Mott, Ludy Stelly, Louise Vernon, Estella Adams, and Adley Cormier.
Edmond was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved hard and prayed hard. Through his faith, Edmond blessed many with the power of prayer and his ministry through music brought many to the Lord as well. Edmond was the founder of “The One Who Cares”, he traveled many places spreading the Gospel of the Lord. He was a man of many talents and was known for his craftmanship, musical abilities, and attention of details. He worked many years as a barber and carpenter. Edmond has now been reunited with those who passed before him and rests in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
