Doris "Dot" Rhodes

Doris “Dot” Pitre Rhodes, 93, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at 11:24PM. She was a native and resident of Houma, LA.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 9:00AM until service time at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Houma, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin on Thursday after visitation beginning at 11:00AM. Burial will take place following service in Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Church Cemetery.

Dot is survived by her Children, Gary Olivier and wife Barbara, Cheryl Maynard and husband Bill, Elena Savoie and husband Weldon, Leslie Rodrigue and husband Melvin; Son-in-Law, Robert Bergeron; Grandchildren, Donna Pinell, Sherri Stewart, Ryan Eschete, Ian Maynard, Brett Bergeron, Scott Rhodes, Hayley and Hannah Savoie; Vince Moore, Lisa Bourgeois; fourteen Great Grandchildren, and six Great Great Grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her Husband, Joseph C. Rhodes; Parents, Elie and Lena Bergeron Pitre; Daughter, Sheila Bergeron; Grandsons, Gary Olivier Jr. and Eric Bergeron; Brother, Elsoyd Pitre, and Flandris Pitre; and Sister, Eva Picou.

Dot was the sweetest and most loving women a person could meet. She loved spending time with her family; whom she dearly loved. Our Mother “Miss Dot” was a homemaker. Her doors were always opened and she welcomed all who entered.

The family would like thank Dr. Ray Cinnater and Dr. Jules Dupont and staff. The family would also like to thank Heritage Manor of Houma and St. Catherine’s Hospice.
