Donna "Sue" Wood

Donna "Sue" Brizendine Wood, age 83, passed away Monday December 20, 2021. She was a native of Missouri and longtime resident of Houma.

Family and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 9:00am until service time. Ministry Services will begin following visitation on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Chauvin Funeral Home at 11:00am with burial following in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Gray, LA.

Donna is survived by her daughters, Robin Skaggs, and Donna Lewis; son, Michael Reynolds; and forteen grandchildren, and twenty-four great grandchildren, and eleven great-great grandchildren; nieces, Sandra, Arminda, Linda, Lucinda; nephews, Joseph, Jessie, and Martin.

Donna is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Wood; parents, Albert Brizendine and Mabel Kerns Brizendine; sons, Robert, Victor, Randall, and Don; great grandaugther, Ala’Jha Reynolds; brothers, Charley Brizendine and Wilford Coy; sister, Ann Brizendine; nephew, Henry, and niece, Elizabeth.

Donna was an independant woman who raised her children and enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed having family gatherings and cookouts. She was a loan office manager for many years. Donna loved to dance and listen to country music, especially Elvis Presley with her brother Bud. She enjoyed spending time with him and her mother, Mabel. Donna was a wonderful, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother. She will never be forgotten and will always be loved.

The family would like to thank "The Oaks of Houma" for their love and care given to Donna and family in their time of need.
