Dolores Deroche

Dolores Labit Deroche, age 91, passed away Wednesday June 30, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was a native of Bayou Blue and longtime resident of Houma, La.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home Monday July 5, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Visitation will continue Tuesday July 6, 2021 from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held following visitation at St. Francis Cathedral at 11:00 AM with burial to follow at St. Francis Cemetery #2.

Dolores is survived by her son, Wayne Deroche and wife Laverne; daughters, Dianna Deroche and companion Myron Aycock, Susan Chaisson and husband Dean; daughters-in-law, Roxane Deroche, Shanna Deroche; twelve grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; close friends, Hilda Kissell, Paula Porter, and her extended church family.

Dolores is preceded in death by her husband, Albert J. Deroche; sons, Michael J. Deroche, Ralph J. Deroche; grandsons, Dean Chaisson, Jr., Sean Chaisson, Dale F. Babin, Jr., great-granddaughter, Kenly Renee Dominique; parents, Francois Labit and Mertilia Babin Labit; brother, Magnus Labit; sisters, Edrith Toups, Mildred Labit, Bernice Pontiff, Dorothy Champagne.

Dolores was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She enjoyed cooking Sunday meals for her family and working in her yard. Dolores was a devout Catholic and loved spending time at church. She will be dearly missed by all who knew loved and loved her.
