Doicy Blanchard

Doicy Julie Cavalier Blanchard, 84, passed away Friday, December 29, 2017 at 6:09AM. She was a native of Napoleonville, LA and resident of Chauvin, LA.

Visitation will begin on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin, LA from 9:00AM until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin on Tuesday after visitation beginning at 11:00AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow Mass in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Doicy is survived by her children, Kirby Blanchard Sr. and wife Lori, Edmond Blanchard III and wife Rachel, Perry Blanchard and wife Dawn, Terry Blanchard and wife Mona, Jody Blanchard and wife Lizzie, Tina LeBlanc and husband Dwayne and Angie Foret and husband Mark; dear friend, William “Jr.” Leonard; sisters, Marie Bergeron and Dorothy Naquin; eighteen grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren.

Doicy is preceded in death by her husband, Edmond “E.J.” Blanchard Jr., parents, Similiean and Enez Cavalier Blanchard; sisters, Gladys Millet, Gertie Cavalier, Edith Cavalier, Doris Blanchard, Joyce Albarado; brothers, Leonce Cavalier, Norris Cavalier, and Nora Cavalier.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the Staff at The Oaks of Houma, Dr. Lisa Black, the Staff of St. Catherines’ Hospice and Father Robert Cavalier.
