Dixie Storie

Dixie Weiford Storie, 97, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 10:45 p.m. surrounded by her loving family. She was a native of Petros, Tennessee and a resident of Houma, Louisiana. Dixie is survived by her daughters, Barbara S. Hogenstad and husband Jon, and Kim Eubanks and husband Sloan, all of Houma, Louisiana; brothers, Bobby and Tommy Weiford; sisters, Christine Shirks, and grandchildren, Aaren Clay, Ian Clay, Jonathan and Rachel Hogenstad. Dixie is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Robert Eugene Storie; parents, John Z. and Bessie Armes Weiford; sisters, Elizabeth Conner and Virignia Woods. Dixie was a homemaker. She was an avid golfer who enjoyed floral arranging and reading. She enjoyed many crafts and had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved to travel extensively. At Mrs. Dixie's request, no services are to be held. In lieu of flowers donations to Hail Mary Rescue or Looziana Basset Rescue would be appreciated.
