Delora Bourg Simoneaux

Delora Catherine Bourg Simoneaux, age 88, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023. She was a native and resident of Montegut, La. 

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 from 9:00 AM until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. 

Delora is survived by her sons, Norton J. Simoneaux and wife Katie, Dale Simoneaux and wife Kelly, Thomas Simoneaux and wife Staci; daughter, Debra Duet and husband Dula; brother, Norton Bourg, Jr. and wife Karen; sister, Bessie B. Ledet; daughters-in-laws, Tammy and Faith Simoneaux; sister-in-law, Maudry Bourg; brother-in-law, Vincent Jerlinski; sixteen grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. 

Delora is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Darby Joseph Simoneaux, Jr.; parents, Norton Joseph Sr. and Irene Belanger Bourg; sons, Darby J. III, Aaron, and Ronnie J. Simoneaux; daughter-in-law, Henrietta Simoneaux; brother, Jerry Bourg; sister, Geraldine B. Jerlinski; brother-in-law, Albert Ledet, Jr. 

Delora was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and member of The Ladies Altar Society. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Delora enjoyed puzzles, reciting the rosary and working in her garden. She will be dearly missed by all whose hearts she touched.
