David John Champagne, 57 went to be with the Lord on Monday January 28,2019 at 11:00 P.M.. He was a native of Raceland and longtime resident of Montegut,LA

A visitation will be held in his honor on Friday February 1 ,2019 at the Chapel Dauphine of Chauvin Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a Liturgy of the Word service at 7:00 PM. Interment at a later date in St. Mary’s Nativity Cemetery, Raceland,LA.

Mr. David is survived by his loving Mother: Gladys (Jeanette) Roussell Champagne. His loving son Brian and wife Amberly Champagne and their children, Briley and Mason Champagne., and his loving daughter Brandi and her husband Brandon Anderson and their children Coen Champagne, Brycen and Damien Anderson. Brother: Gary and wife Lori Champagne and sisters Kathy and husband Faron Levron and Denise and husband Robert Ledet.

He was preceded in death by his Father: Clarence P. Champagne. Maternal grandparents: Louis Sr. and Gladys Roussell.. Paternal grandparents: Eugene and Pearl Champagne.

Mr. David was a self-employed fisherman who was most happy being in the company of family and friends.
