David Wayne Acosta, age 61, passed away on November 26, 2018. David was a born in Houma, resided in Youngsville for many years and passed away surrounded by his loving family in Houma, LA.
David is survived by his deeply loved and loyal pet, Buddy; spouse, Susan Acosta; sons, Steven and Stuart Acosta; step-daughter, Stacy Circello; Derrick and wife Vanessa Acosta and Devin Acosta and their mother, Deborah; grandchildren, Alayna, Paul, Khloe, Colin, and Landon; father, Harold Acosta; siblings, Kenneth Acosta and companion Gerry, Michael Acosta and wife Wanda, Lee Dies, Lisa Dies and husband Jimmy, Staci Venable, Kelli Domingue and husband Casey. David is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
David is preceded in death by his mother, Darlyne Robichaux Acosta; brother-in-law, David Dies; sister-in-law, Nancy Acosta; niece, Alie Domingue; great nephew, David Shane Lonkowski.
David was fun, loving, caring, big-hearted, and loved his family. David and his dog Buddy were inseparable and shared a bond like no other. David was the owner and operator of his own construction company for 20 years, David’s Carpentry. David was an avid Saints fan and enjoyed playing golf on the computer. David was very talented and loved woodworking. Above all, David was a blessing to his brothers and sisters, selflessly giving of himself in times of need. David has left his legacy behind and now is in the presence of his loved ones.
The family would like to thank the nurses on the oncology unit at Chabert Medical Center, Dr. Kennedy, all his medical staff, and Journey Hospice for all the love, care, and support.
Private service will be held at a later date.
