Corie Jernigan

Corie Lirette Jernigan, age 35 passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017. She was a native of Houma, Louisiana. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation from the Magnolia Chapel at Chauvin Funeral Home on Sunday, September 24, 2017 beginning at 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume Monday beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Frances de Sales Cemetery No. 2. Corie is survived by her husband, Joe Jernigan; daughter, Brittany Jernigan Boudreaux and husband Justin; son, Jobie Allen Jernigan; grandchildren, Amyra Dean Fitch, Jonathon Joseph Fitch, Jr., Isabella Rose Boudreaux, and Eiljah James Boudreaux; father, Percy Gene Lirette, Jr.; brother, Cody Jude Lirette; niece, Mia Renee Lirette; mother-n-law, Willadean Parrish Jernigan; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and a host of loving and caring friends. Corie is preceded in death by her mother Kathy Portier Lirette; grandparents, Alvin Joseph Portier, Sr., Ora Bergeron Portier, Percy Gene Lirette, Sr., and Sadie Autin Lirette; father-n-law, Thomas Ryan Jernigan, Sr.; brother-n-law, Kenny Alvin Jernigan; nephew, Brandon Jernigan; uncles, Alvin Joseph Portier, Jr., Randy Joseph Portier, and Jimmy Carol Croker; aunts, Lillian Portier Charpentier, Bessie Mae Portier, and Margaret Portier Derrick; cousins, Christina Marie Charpentier, Charles John LeBlanc, Jr., and Kenton Paul Boudreaux, Jr. Corie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and dear friend to all. She was fun, beautiful, and a loving Christian woman who loved everyone, even her dog Mr. Bean. Corie spend her days loving and cherishing her family, she loved to travel and go on many vacations.
