Cody Jacob Theriot, age 23, passed away on Monday, November 8, 2021. Cody was a lifetime resident of Dularge, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation in the Magnolia Chapel of Chauvin Funeral Home on Sunday, November 14, 2021, beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Monday, November 15, 2021, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Eloi Cemetery.

Cody is survived by his parents, Cody Theriot and Charlotte Theriot; fiancé, Mary Quick; son to be expected on December 31, 2021, Colt Raymond Jacob Theriot; sisters, Kelly Theriot Dunn and husband Keith, Alexis Theriot and boyfriend Robbie Breaux; maternal grandfather Jerry Hebert; future mother and father-in-law, Mary-Marie Quick and Harold Quick, Jr.; brothers-in-law, Christian Quick and Jesse Quick; nieces, Miranda Dunn and Arietta Dunn; nephews, Waylon Dunn and Julian Dunn; cousin who was like a sister to Cody, Jacqueline Theriot and husband Flint; uncle, Ray Theriot; Godparents, Tressa and Clinton Pellegrin. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and a host of friends.

Cody is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Nella Hebert; paternal grandparents, Raymond Theriot and Gladys Christopher; Cody’s unborn first child.

Cody was looking forward to meeting his unborn son, Colt. Anyone who knew Cody, knew he was going to be a wonderful father. He was also a loving son, brother, and soon to be husband to his beautiful bride, Mary. Cody was an exceptional young man who was loved by many. His personality radiated everyday and in every situation. His love for his family will continue on and will always to be remember for his smile, laugh, kindness, and jokes. Cody was a hard worker and was valued at Low Land Construction Company.  He loved to fish, hunt, shop, play his x-box, he loved his dog, Hazyl, and enjoyed fellowshipping with his family and friends. Cody will be missed deeply by all who knew him. He closed his eyes on this earth to open them in the presence of the Lord and Cody would have said, “Chaw-boy!” He now rests in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
