Clement Rogers

November 21, 1926 — October 17, 2017

Clement Leon “C.L.” Rogers, age 90, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. He now rests in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Clement was a native of Barataria and a resident of Bayou Blue. Family and friends may visit at the Magnolia Chapel at Chauvin Funeral Home for a wake on Friday, October 20, 2017, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Louis Catholic Church, 2226 Bayou Blue Rd., at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at St. Louis Catholic Church Cemetery. Clement is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Ellen Savoie Rogers; children, Tommy Rogers, Joey Rogers and wife Sally, Jerome Rogers, Joan Rogers, Rev. Robert Rogers and Tina Bowie; sisters, Hazel Rogers Boudreaux and Pearl Rogers Bourg; grandchildren, Kristi Ledet and husband Lee, Jason Rogers and wife Katherine, Michelle Cenac, Angelle Naquin and husband T.J., Blake and Brock Bowie, Emily Savoie and husband Jonathan; great-grandchildren, Remy, Rhex, and Ramsey Naquin, Madison and Hannah Ledet. Clement was preceded in death and now reunited with his loving parents, Clement Vital and Mary Jane Caro Rogers. Clement met the love of his life, Ellen, and married 66 years ago. He was a beloved husband, caring and loving father, and a proud grandpa. Clement worked as a mechanic and retired as a supervisor after forty years of service with Chromalloy which was formally Delta Mud. Clement was a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church. The family would like to thank Haydel Hospice and Acadian Ambulance for their care and compassion. Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Rogers family.
