Clarence LoVay Rush, 84, passed away surrounded by his loving family on December 13, 2017. He was a native of Sloan, IA and resident of El Paso, TX. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home from 9:00AM until service time at 11:00AM on Monday, December 18, 2017. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00AM at Chauvin Funeral Home on Monday, December 18, 2017. Interment will take place privately by the family at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery. Clarence is survived by his wife, Roxanne Mariah Hodge Rush; daughters, Kimberly R. Stoler and husband Alan, and Rebecca R. Schoonover and husband Timothy; sons, Gerald L. Vance and wife Janelle, and Stanley D. Vance and wife Rosa; brother, Francis M. Rush; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Clarence is preceded in death by his parents, Francis LoVay and Nina Myrtle Riley Clarence proudly served his country in the United States Army during war and peace time for most of his life. Rush Clarence was a life time member of the V.F.W., The Flying Tigers, Elks Club, Purple Heart Association, and U.S. Army Reserve. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, R.V.-ing and many other past-times with family and friends. Clarence was a Technical Assistant Advisor for Quantum for many years. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to the St. Luke Methodist Church in El Paso, TX (9915 Montwood Drive, El Paso TX 79925) Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Rush family.
