Chris Corte, 54, a resident of Houma died on July 24, 2017 at 1:59 pm. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 from 9 A.M. until Service time at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at St. Francis de Sales No. 2 Cemetery in Houma. Chris is survived by his parents, Barbara and Bobby Joe Corte, Sr.; daughter, Barbie Lynn Corte Oltmann and husband Erik, son, Douglas Gage Corte and daughter, Paige Yvonne Corte, and grandson, Owen Oltmann, brother, Bobby Corte, Jr. and wife Virginia and sister, Kim Sanvi and husband Dennis. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Joe Corte, Mr. Luther Byrd and Mrs. Myra Byrd of Opelousas, LA. and his brother Kane Corte of Houma, LA. Chris was a business partner of Cor-Val, Inc., for 17 years and former proprietor of ABC Welding, Inc. Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Corte Family.
