Cheryl Yvonne LaRose

Cheryl Yvonne LaRose, 42, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, December 1, 2022. Cheryl is a native of Glasgow, Scotland and longtime resident of Houma, Louisiana.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service in Cheryl’s honor on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at Chauvin Funeral Home in the Magnolia Chapel, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Matthew; father, Angus; mother, Yvonne (Bernie); children, Dayne and Maya; brother, Barry (Tarah); in-laws, Ellis and Anita; extended family, Debbie (Jason) and daughter, Hailee; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Elizabeth; paternal grandparents, Hugh and Betty; and grandmother, Isabelle.

Cheryl was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister. She loved spending her days at the beach with her family or sitting back watching reality tv. She will forever be remembered as being fiercely independent and a smiling face to all. Cheryl will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Cheryl’s honor to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center.
