Cherie Boudreaux LeCompte, 64, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. Cherie was a native and resident of Houma, LA.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at Chauvin Funeral Home. The family invites everyone to join them in a rosary at 5:00pm with visitation to follow until 9:00pm. Visitation will continue at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral in Houma, LA on Monday, November 4, 2024 from 9:30am until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 4, 2024 at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral at 11:00am with burial following services in St. Bridget Cemetery.
Cherie is survived by her loving family; her children, Brior LeCompte and spouse Chelsey LeCompte, Sarah LeCompte Lirette and spouse John Lirette, Brenner LeCompte and spouse Kristen LeCompte, Tyler LeCompte and spouse Courtney LeCompte, Saul LeCompte and fiancée Chelsey Richard, Jess LeCompte and spouse Lauren LeCompte, Rusty LeCompte, John LeCompte and spouse Madeline LeCompte, Matt LeCompte and spouse Katrina LeCompte, Brendan LeCompte and fiancée Aaliyah Hebert, Blaise Andre LeCompte, Jude LeCompte and spouse Abby LeCompte; siblings, Robert Boudreaux and spouse Gayle Boudreaux, Beryl Bergeron and spouse EJ Bergeron, Sheila Boyne; sister-in-law, Judith Boudreaux, and 34 grandchildren, Alyssa Bergeron, Carter, Emily and Henry LeCompte, Timothy, Joseph, Jaime, Alexander, Paul, Madeline, and Mark Lirette, Mariella, Brenner Francis, Juliette and Seraphina LeCompte, Lily, Evangeline, Ivy, Elijah, and Hudson LeCompte, Jack and Owen LeCompte, Kole Acheé, Kodi Bourg, Jess Jr, Lana, Ella, and Jean LeCompte, Sophia LeCompte, Annalie LeCompte, and Denver LeCompte.
Cherie is preceded in passing by her parents, Robert Boudreaux and Elizabeth Bergeron Boudreaux; her siblings, Cheryl Raymond and Keith Boudreaux; her brother-in-law Charles Boyne; her grandson, Braden LeCompte.
Cherie was a devout Catholic mother, who set a beautiful example of virtue through her generosity, humility, and piety. Her pure joy and selflessness was infectious to everyone around her. Her life was dedicated to her family and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time at the beach, fishing and crabbing at the camp, and tending her plants and garden. She could often be found drinking coffee on a front porch, where she welcomed so many. She had an affinity for religious books, Shetland Sheepdogs, and Bob Seger. Cherie will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.
