Charles Joseph Solito, 85, passed away on March 22, 2022 at 9:10am. Charles was a native and resident of Houma, LA.
Family and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 10:00am until service time. A Liturgy of the Word will begin at Chauvin Funeral Home at 12:00pm/Noon with burial to follow in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of sixty-three years, Judy Leboeuf Solito; children, Cindy Solito and Charles Solito Jr. and wife Vicki; brother, Peter Solito; grandchildren, Rogers Boudreaux III, Kerrie Burns, Jennifer Urbina; great grandchildren, Myrna Benoit, Anthony Hidalgo, Chaz Boudreaux, Ethan Boudreaux, Bianca Boudreaux; great-great grandchildren, Aliya Hidalgo, Ahmad Boudreaux, Ace Boudreaux and a little one on the way.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Solito and Maebelle Louviere Solito; children, Nancy Ann Solito and Michael Joseph Solito; sisters, Marie S. Agnes Posecai and Mae Marion Smith; grandson, Chaz Michael Boudreaux.
Charles was a mail carrier for forty-three years as well as a building contractor. Charles was a kind and generous. He was a people person who never knew a stranger. He loved to talk to anyone and would lend a hand and help out anyone in need. Charles was known for maintaining his pristine lawn with precision care. He loved watching football, especially if it was Peyton Manning and he loved fishing. He enjoyed singing out loud to old country music. Most importantly Charles was dearly devoted to and loved his family and always placed them before himself.
Charles will be dearly and forever loved by his family and many friends.
