Charles Rogers, Sr.

Charles Joseph Rogers, Sr. age 80, passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Chateau Terrebonne Health Care. He was a longtime resident of Houma.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation in Chapel Dauphine at Chauvin Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the Liturgy of the Word at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery.

Charles is survived by his sons, Charles Rogers, Jr. and wife, Hazel; Timmy Rogers.

Charles is preceded in death by his wife of sixty-two years, Ella Mae Rogers; parents, Kirby and June Rogers.

Charles was a loving and kind man. He loved his family dearly and leaves his two sons behind. Charles loved to fish at his camp. He was also a great cook, but above all, he was humble, kind, and compassionate. Charles worked for McDermott with over forty years of service until his retirement. Charles was also a member of the Walter Irvin Lanier Lodge 307 for 37 years, he served as Worshipful Master, Senior Warden, Junior Warden, Senior and Junior Deacon. Charles now rests in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and is now reunited with the love of his life, Ella Mae Rogers.
