Charles James

Charles “Charlie” Beal James, age 65, passed away at Passages Hospice Facility in New Orleans on Sunday, February 21, 2021. Charles was a longtime resident of Houma.

Charlie is survived by his sisters, Paula Kelly King and Patricia Kelly Lirette; brother, Melvin Kelly, Jr. Charlie is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, Fred Lee James and Elsie Mae Marcel James; brothers, Freddie Kelly and Tommy James.

Charlie loved life and was a hard worker. He worked in the Oilfield and held many positions until his retirement. Anyone who knew Charlie, knew he loved his family dearly and loved by his nieces and nephews but most of all remember by his guitar playing skills. Charlie will be dearly missed and is now reunited with his family who passed before him. Charlie now plays his guitar in heaven to his family and his Lord and Savior.
