Cecil Van Staden

Cecil Francois Van Staden, age 75, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 5:29 a.m. He was a native of Balfour, South Africa and a resident of Houma, LA.

Cecil is survived by his wife of 23 years, Sally Young Van Staden; son, Jan G. Van Staden and Tracie; daughter, Esthee Van Staden and Johnathan Bogle; son, Thinus Kruger and Elva; brother, Danie Van Staden; grandchildren, Sally, Francois, Jaco, Elsmarie, Gabriel, and Charlie Van Staden, and Hunter Kruger.

Cecil is preceded in death by his parents, Jacobus Fredrick and Fredericka Francina De Witt Van Staden.

Cecil was a member of the First Baptist Church of Houma. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, and fishing. He treasured spending time with his son Jan and dedicated most of his time to his wife and his grandchildren. He touched the hearts of all he came in contact with.
