Catherine Cathy Hoss Guidry

Catherine “Cathy” “Hoss” Marcel Guidry, age 53, gained her angel wings on Thursday, September 27, 2018 after a lengthily time with numerous illnesses. She was a native and resident of Houma.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service at Chauvin Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Cathy is survived by her husband of 26 years, Marc Daniel Guidry; son, Lynn M. (Reva) Freeman; daughter, Aimee M. (Ray Jr.) Bourg; sisters, Earline M. (Recardo) Chatagnier, Sandra M. Buquet, Nell M. Davis, and Beverly A. Marcel; grandchildren, Bentley, Dakota and Bryanna.

Cathy is preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert Joseph and Joyce Thibodaux Marcel; brother, Raymond Marcel; brothers-in-law, Harry Buquet, Jr. and Dusty Davis; grandparents, Jeffrey (Effie LeBouef) Marcel, and Levy (Lillian Zeringue) Thibodaux.

Cathy was a caring and compassionate person. She enjoyed playing games on computer, and fishing. Her memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know her especially during the Mardi Gras season when she thoroughly enjoyed herself. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter to carry on by her surviving family members and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
