Carol Bascle, Sr.

Carol Joseph Bascle, Sr., age 81, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, July 17^th, 2021. He was a native of Bourg and a resident of Houma, LA.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at Annunziata Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with burial following in St. Francis de Sales #2 Cemetery.

Carol is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Emily Voisin Bascle; daughter, Rachel; sons: Carol (Monique), Glenn (Rochelle), and Blaine (Rhonda); grandchildren, Trevor (Michelle), Lance (Michelle), Megan, Ethan (Paige), Austin, Cara; brother, Randolph; and sister, June.

Carol is proceeded in death by his sons, Jerome and Bert Bascle; parents, Macon and Edna Blanchard Bascle; sister, Lillian Bascle; brother, Roland Bascle.

Carol served in the National Guard for 6 yrs. and was very proud of his career of 15 yrs. at the Houma Courier and 42 yrs. and 4 months at Huey Ice Company. He was an avid fisherman and could boil seafood with the best of them. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

The family would like to give a special “Thank You” to Father Mike Tran and Father Cody Chatagnier, Hospice of South Louisiana and everyone who helped during the family’s time of need.
