Carlene Ledet

Carlene Boquet Ledet, 87, a native of Bourg, LA and resident of Houma, LA; passed at 3:50am on Tuesday, August 20, 2024.

Family and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, August 23, 2024, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Houma, LA from 9:00am until service time.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin on Friday, August 23, 2024, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church at 11:00am with burial following services in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.

Carlene is survived by her loving family; her children, Arlen Ledet and wife Toni, Lenar Ledet Whitney, Lynell Ledet Ford and partner Lanny Domangue, Craig Ledet and wife Jesslyn, Don Ledet and wife Dana; fourteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, three step grandchildren, two step great grandchildren; siblings, Russell Boquet, Kathleen Barber, Deborah Falgout, and Carmen Boquet Jr.

Carlene is preceded in passing by her loving husband, Harris John Ledet; her parents, Carmen Boquet Sr. and Ann Pellegrin Boquet; son, Brett Michael Ledet, two grandchildren, Logan Thomas Ledet and Marvin V. "Tre" Marmande III, and siblings, Michael Boquet, Jean Foret, and Donna Boquet.

Carlene was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a woman of many talents and worked diligently as the Head of Sales at Kirschmans. Carlene's dedication and passion for her work made her a respected figure in the community. She was a founding member of St. Bernadette Parish and served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was an active member of the Catholic Daughters of America and had a loving devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing cards with family and friends.

Her spirit and kindness will forever be cherished in our hearts.
