Carla was a beautiful spirit; loving, giving and compassionate till the end. She nurtured family and  friends with a funny story and a shoulder to cry on when they were down or a good meal and a smile when they needed comfort. She was a proud and lively soul wearing black and gold during football season, switching to purple and gold during Mardi Gras. The holidays were very dear to her, a tme to celebrate family, love and tradition. Thanksgiving particularly moved her, a time when everyone is  thankful and at peace. She loved to dance, celebrate and have a goodtime. She had a full and blessed  life marrying her soulmate Don in 1973. Though their journey together was cut short after his passing at the age of forty-two, she held him close to her heart and continued to raise her two beautiful kids. She later welcomed two grandchildren to her family, with whom she loved spending with me. The world may have lost a beautiful woman, but Heaven has gained a beautiful Angel.Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Olsen family.
