Bruce Levron, Jr.

Bruce Jean Levron, Sr., age 89, passed away on November 5, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Bruce was a longtime resident of Chauvin. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation in Chapel Dauphine at Chauvin Funeral Home on Saturday, November 11, 2017 beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the Liturgy of the Word at 11:00 a.m. A Private burial will be held in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery. Bruce is survived by his sons, Bruce “Sonny” Levron, Jr. and wife Connie, Patrick J. Levron and wife Mary Lou; daughters, Rachel A. Levron, and Stacie M. Levron; grandchildren, Jared and Tyler Picou, Derrel, and Kristina Levron, Wesley and Derek Foret; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Geraldine Bourg; his beloved pet, Taco. Bruce was preceded in death by his wife Drusella Foret Levron; parents, Paul and Pearly Ledet Levron; brother, Houston Levron. Bruce was a devoted husband to his wife Drusella, a kind-loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a very generous man, compassionate and kind-hearted. Bruce loved the waterways and worked for Cenac Towing and retired as a Boat Captain with thirty plus years of service. He loved his boats, The Mandy and Ovide. Bruce was a proud Veteran and served his Country in the U.S. Marines. Anyone who knew Bruce, knew he was a good man. He loved tending to his vegetable garden. Bruce has left this earthly life, he now sets sail on the beautiful still waters where he is reunited with his family, friends, and his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
