Bobby Dale Olivier, age 77, passed away at his residence surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. Bobby was a longtime resident of Houma.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation in Chapel Dauphine of Chauvin Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 beginning at 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Gregory Catholic Church with Mass beginning at 11:00 a.m. and burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery No. 2.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Judy Buquet Olivier; sons, Danny Olivier and wife Mechelle, David Olivier and wife April, Doug Olivier and wife Kristi; grandchildren, Amanda Olivier, Dale Olivier, Nicholas Olivier and wife Brittany, and Corbin Olivier; great-grandchildren, Allie, Colt, Leighton, Natalie, Logan, and Elana; brother, Austin and wife Shirley; sisters, Bonnie and husband Wayne Jackson, Shirley Suire, Delores Gorr, and Betty Trahan Thibodeaux.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Austin and Julia Lovell Olivier; sisters, Gloria Zeringue, Vela Mae “Teedy” Duplantis, Gerline “Cutsey” Eschete.
Bobby loved to fish, he and Judy fished as often as they could until he fell sick three years ago. He was retired from McDermott and Texaco as a welder. He and Judy owned Kajon Koolers snowball stand and owned many rent houses. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.
The family would like to thank Haydel Hospice and Angie Philips, Debra Gorr who helped the family in Bobby’s final days.
